Who would have thought this little kid growing up in Yoakum, Texas would be able to make people happy listening and dancing to his music all around the world?
Growing up in a musical family gave him no choice. At the age of ten he was put in the high school band playing trombone. His love for music, along with being an "A" student, earned him a scholarship to Paul Quinn College in Waco, Texas. Before running off to college to play the trombone, his dad gave him a guitar that he had played for years. His cousin James Price (Dr. Fish), taught him how to play it. (Fish toured with Little Milton a couple of years as a keyboard player). Lucius' youngest brother Lamar, has worked with him on each of the CD's released. His dad, sister, and brother, among other relatives are still playing music in church.
Lucius has performed with such great artists as Betty Swan, Mary Wells, DeBarge, Rudy Ray Moore, Bobby Womack, Charles Brown, Johnny Copeland and his latest performance was with Charlie Daniels at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Az.
Lucius would have the time of his life when he performed with his cousin Albert Collins. When Albert passed away in 1993, Lucius was motivated to continue trying to help keep the blues alive. He released a CD in 1994 entitled "Don't Yell At Me." Bryan Cole at Ichiban Records heard a copy of it and called to see if Jimmy Dawkins could use a couple of the songs on his "Blues and Pain" CD. Lucius was so excited that he couldn't think of anything but "Yes." After that CD, he released his second one entitled "Yoakum Texas Blues" which was played in Texas, Alabama, Nevada and Arizona.
Lucius' family feels that everything happens for a reason and Albert's death was that reason. Lucius was really 'inspired' by his cousin Albert Collins. Lucius is very determined to make it in music with his guitar. He has gotten great reviews from many different magazines including the "Living Blues Magazine", "Blues Society Magazine", "Victoria Advocate" and was in a lot of magazines advertising the fender Amp Can. Lucius has also done numerous radio and television interviews. His third CD entitled "We Got A Problem" will be released during the second quarter of 1999.

Lucius says: "This will be 'DA One'.
Please Say No To Drugs and May God Bless."
